The Connected agents tab

Agent Adapt adds Connected agents to WooCommerce’s My Account menu, just above Log out (at /my-account/connected-agents/). It lists every assistant the customer has allowed to use their account:

  • Assistant: its name and the address it publishes;
  • It can: what the customer approved, in the same words as the approval page;
  • Last used and Access until.

Each row has a Disconnect button. Disconnecting ends the agent’s access straight away. If the agent is in the middle of a visit, it carries on signed out, so its cart isn’t lost.

The email

Each time a customer connects an assistant, WooCommerce sends them Personal assistant connected. It names the agent and what it can now do, and says: if this wasn’t you, disconnect it and change your password, with a link to the Connected agents tab.

It’s a normal WooCommerce email. You can change its subject and heading, or switch it off, under WooCommerce → Settings → Emails. We recommend leaving it on: it’s how a customer notices a connection they didn’t make.

When access ends on its own

A connection lasts 90 days from approval. It also ends straight away when the customer:

  • resets or changes their password;
  • changes their email address;
  • is moved to a role that can’t be connected, or is deleted;

and when the agent signs itself out. The customer can connect again whenever they like.
