Merchant policy Pro
Pro's policy settings: switch agent actions off, set your return window, cap an agent at view-only, and accept only agents you choose.
Updated October 12, 2026
Agent Adapt Pro is opening soon. See pricing for early access.
With Pro, WooCommerce → Agents has a What agents may do panel below the agents table. Press Save policy after any change. Your policy applies on top of whatever each customer approves: an agent gets the narrower of the two.
Account actions
Tick the actions agents may perform on a customer’s account. All are on by default.
- Put a past order back in the cart
- Cancel an unpaid order
- Cancel a paid order with a full refund (the customer approves each one)
- Send you a return request
- Change a saved address (the customer approves each one)
Searching, product details and the cart are always available, because any visitor can do those. An action you untick disappears completely: agents can’t see it or call it, and it’s left out of the store’s API description and MCP tools. Unticking address changes also stops the store offering that permission at sign-in.
Return window
How many days after an order is completed a customer’s agent can send a return request (1 to 365; 30 by default).
Account access, per agent
In the per-agent table, Account access sets the most each agent may do with a customer’s account:
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Whatever the customer approves | The default |
| View only | Orders, addresses and reordering, but no changes |
| None: signed-out shopping only | The agent can’t sign customers in at all |
A cap also narrows what the approval page offers, and it applies straight away to customers who connected the agent before you set it.
Allowlist
Tick Only accept the agents ticked below to refuse every agent you haven’t ticked under On the allowlist. A refused agent is treated like a blocked one. Blocking still wins over the allowlist.
Set it up in this order: let the agents you want visit at least once, so they appear in the table; tick them; then turn the allowlist on. While it’s on, a new agent is refused before it’s recorded, so it never appears in the table to be ticked.
