What Agent Adapt stores and shares Free

What Agent Adapt keeps in your database, how long it keeps it, what it fetches from agents, and what it never sends anywhere.

Updated October 12, 2026

Nothing is sent to us

Agent Adapt doesn’t send anything to its makers: no usage data, no store details, no customer data. There is no account to create and no licence check in the free plugin.

What it fetches

When an agent visits, your store fetches that agent’s public details and signing keys from the address the agent publishes. That’s how it verifies the agent. Your store sends nothing about your customers in those requests. The details are cached for up to a day.

What it keeps in your database

Agent Adapt keeps its own tables (named …_agentadapt_…):

  • Agents that have visited, with their published name and address, and whether you’ve blocked them.
  • Sessions: each agent visit, with its cart reference and, when signed in, which customer it’s acting for.
  • Approvals customers have given, with what they approved and when they expire. Tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, never in a form that could be used.
  • Events: what agents did (a search, a cart change, a checkout link, an order), used for the Agents screen and, with Pro, Agent insights. Events are deleted after 90 days.
  • Short-lived records that stop replayed requests and enforce rate limits, cleared hourly.

Before a customer signs in, your store knows the agent’s user only by an ID the agent chooses, never by name or email.

On orders placed through an agent, it stores which agent and visit the order came from, alongside WooCommerce’s own order attribution.

Your privacy policy

If you serve personal agents, say so in your privacy policy: that customers can connect an AI assistant to their account, what it can access with their approval, and that your store fetches the assistant’s public details to verify it.

Deleting the plugin

Deactivating Agent Adapt stops it answering agents straight away. Deleting it currently leaves its tables, settings and order notes in your database, so nothing is lost if you reinstall. If you want them gone, remove the …_agentadapt_… tables and the agentadapt_… options with a database tool, after taking a backup.
